Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilize such an enormous medium.
Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access via FTP and Telnet* 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
*Telnet Access is granted on a as needed option that must be approved by us. Please submit a Help Desk Ticket if you require this feature.
Do you provide Dial-Up access to the Internet?
No, you will need local Internet access in order to maintain your web site and retrieve e-mail addressed to your site
Do I need the WWW in the internet address for my site?
No, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the “www” in front of the domain name.
[http://www.your_name.com] or [http://your_name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer
How do I transfer my Website?
- Open an account with us
- We will send you your account login
- Upload your files
- Test all your links
- Once all your link are active with your satisfaction
- Create email accounts to match existing ones
- Change your domain Nameserver at your Registrar
- Once your Nameservers are updated your domain name will point to your new server in 1-72 hours depending on your registrar.
Transferring My site sounds too hard, can you do it?
Certainly we can, there is a charge for such service. Depending on the complexity of your site it typically costs $50 – $100 for us to transfer your site. Please submit a Help Desk ticket if you require this service
I’ve decided to go with you, now what do I do?
Step 1 – Check domain name availability
if you don’t already own a domain name go to our domain registration page, type the desired name in the form and click “Search’. If you already have a domain name please go to step 3.
Step 2 – Register the domain name
Click the box next to the desired domain name and click on “Register Domains”
Follow the instructions on that page, complete and submit the order form.
Step 5 – Delegate Nameservers
You will need to change Nameservers at the Registrar where your domain was purchased. The Nameserver info for your new account is in the Confirmation Email. This process can take up to 3 days and applies to everybody on the Internet!
